Jeff Hawn, Chairman and CEO

Jeff Hawn determines overall corporate direction and sets the company’s business and acquisition strategies. His experience includes multiple senior-level positions in the mainframe software market. Prior to joining Attachmate, he was an operating partner with JMI Inc., where he led the firm’s private equity acquisition and operating activities. Previously, Hawn was a senior vice president at BMC Software and served as a partner at the global consulting firm McKinsey & Company. He holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Southern Methodist University and an MBA from the University of Texas.


Charles Sansbury, Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer
Charles Sansbury directs worldwide finance and operations for the company. With more than 16 years of experience in strategic, financial, and operational leadership, he joined the company after serving as CFO of Vignette Corporation, where he had earlier served as senior v.p. of corporate development. In that role, Sansbury had responsibility for mergers, acquisitions, and strategic investments. Prior to Vignette, he was a principal in the technology investment banking group at Morgan Stanley, where he focused on the software, professional services, and semiconductor industries. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Georgetown University and an MBA from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.


Bob Flynn, President and General Manager, Host Connectivity Solutions Business Unit
Bob Flynn oversees an operation that includes development, product management, marketing, technical support, sales, and sales operations, focusing on the Attachmate Host Connectivity Business Unit. He joined Attachmate in 1998, following a 17-year career with IBM in numerous management and executive positions, specializing in service and support for large enterprise environments. At IBM, Flynn led global multi-million-dollar consulting engagements at Fortune 100 companies, directing and redefining key internal processes at IBM, and managing a region-wide $500 million services division. He holds a bachelor's degree in business administration from Oregon State University.


Jay Gardner, President and General Manager, NetIQ Business Unit
Jay Gardner is responsible for engineering, product management, marketing, technical support, sales and operations, in addition to market vision and business strategy, for the NetIQ Business Unit. Before joining Attachmate, Gardner served as a venture advisor for DFJ Mercury and a board member for Phurnace Software. He also worked for 19 years at BMC Software, where he held a variety of positions including business unit v.p and general manager, as well as CIO. Other past roles include v.p. of sales and worldwide field operations. Gardner earned MBA and bachelor's degrees in business administration from Texas Christian University.


Ton Musters, Vice President and General Manager, EMEA
Ton Musters is responsible for Attachmate and NetIQ activities in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. In the past 10 years Musters has held several Attachmate management positions focusing on international sales and marketing. His most recent role was general manager for Nordics, Benelux, France, and South Africa. Musters has more than 25 years of experience in the IT industry, having worked for companies including Xerox, Tandem, and Compaq. He holds a bachelor's degree in business economics from the HEAO in The Hague, Netherlands.


Kathleen Owens, Vice President of North American Sales
Kathleen Owens is in charge of North America sales success and sales teams, including the direct sales force, field technical resources, and sales-channel partner relationships. Having started her Attachmate career in regional and international sales, she has more recently served as territory manager and sales director. In addition to her 11+ years with Attachmate, Owens has had experience in the nonprofit sector and was transportation coordinator at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics. She has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Notre Dame.


Eric Varness, Vice President of Products and Marketing
Eric Varness oversees all aspects of the company’s marketing endeavors. In his marketing-leadership role, he directs the product marketing, product management, and marketing communications teams. He also serves as strategic director for Attachmate solutions, establishing feature requirements and ensuring timely product releases. With more than 17 years of technology management experience, Varness’ career has included product marketing and management positions at DataChannel and Mosaix. He earned a bachelor’s degree in history from the University of Washington.


Jennifer Shettleroe, Vice President of Global Product Development and Technical Support
Jennifer Shettleroe leads the design, engineering, testing, and ongoing support for more than 20 enterprise software products used by the company’s Global 2000 customers. Her responsibilities and expertise include both client and server products as well as a wide range of technologies, languages, platforms, and protocols. Shettleroe worked in a variety of technical capacities at Agena Corp. (now AMS Services/Vertafore) before joining Attachmate. She holds a bachelor’s degree in computer science, with an emphasis in business, from Seattle Pacific University.


Boris Ivancic, General Manager, Asia Pacific
Boris Ivancic has been with Attachmate since 1999 and is responsible for all Attachmate and NetIQ activities in the Asia Pacific region, including Australia, New Zealand, China, India, and Singapore. Prior to Attachmate, he was the sales director in charge of Australia and New Zealand for Lotus Development. He also held various sales and channel management roles with Compaq. He holds an electrical engineering degree from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology.


Edwin Bowman, General Manager, Latin America
Edwin Bowman is responsible for all Attachmate and NetIQ activities in Central and South America. He brings extensive sales and management experience to his role and has been a top Attachmate sales contributor for more than 10 years. Prior to joining Attachmate, Bowman was sales director for NCR Corporation. He brings a wealth of knowledge in Attachmate solutions to his role, as well as strong skills in working with valued enterprise customers. He holds an M.B.A. from the University of Cincinnati, and bachelor’s degrees in management and finance.


Shinichi Mochioka, General Manager, Japan
Shinichi Mochioka is responsible for NetIQ and Attachmate business in Japan. He joined NetIQ In 2004 as regional director for Japan. Since Attachmate acquired NetIQ in 2006, he has been responsible for both operations in Japan. Prior to joining NetIQ he worked for several IT companies including IBM, Oracle, SAP, and Compuware. Mochi holds a bachelor of economics degree in business administration from the University of Tokyo.
